President Bynoe praises primary school competition

“However, this tournament gives volleyball a great chance to compete with the other sports as our children will now be leaving primary school and going into secondary school with the basic knowledge of volleyball,” said Bynoe.

Chief coordinator Julia Broome who joined the BVA’s executive at the last elections indicated that division one teams would be adopting two primary schools to assist them with coaching.  Furthermore, Physical Education teachers at those schools would be assisted with volleyball coaching programmes.

At the launch, held at the defending champions, West Terrace Primary, all of the teams taking part in the tournament which serves off in June were given seven volleyballs.
