The St. Michael School boys defeated Alleyne School when the National Sports Council’s under 16 volleyball league was served off on Friday May 19 at Martindale Road.

The Cougars rebounded strongly in the boys’ match with tremendous spike serving from Ajani Marshall leading them to eight points before Alleyne got off the mark. Marshall, Shane Robinson and the bespectacled Xavier Mascoll then led the home team to victory 25-14, 25-21.

After going down in the first set Alleyne showed some fight in the second rallying from 16-23 to 21-23 before SMS was able to close out the set and the match.
