Former champions Burger King Clapham Toners wasted little time with WOW Foundation whipping them 25-17, 25-16, 25-12.

Monday, March 17, 2025 – The defending champions, UWI Blackbirds, enjoyed a straight sets romp crushing WOW Foundation United 25-15, 25-22, 25-11.

Though WOW Foundation United fought back valiantly in the second set, the champions’ resilience proved too much. The set ended 25-22 in favour of the Blackbirds.

With two sets in the bag, the Blackbirds soared higher in the third, dismantling their opponents’ efforts with a decisive 25-11 victory.

Meanwhile, in another gripping showdown, Burger King Clapham Toners brought the heat against Phoenix Security Services Carlton. Living up to their fiery name, the Toners grilled their erratic opponents with a clean sweep, winning 25-15, 25-20, 25-16.

Wednesday, March 12, 2025 – Reigning champions, UWI Blackbirds, and the formidable Warrens showcased their prowess, inching closer to the leaders, KFC Deacons, with hard-fought victories as the Women’s Division One League continued at The Wildey Gymnasium.

The UWI Blackbirds soared to triumph over the Chargers in an intense four-set battle halting them 25-18, 27-29, 25-16, 25-22. Despite a second-set scare that went to 29-27 in favour of the Chargers, the Blackbirds remained unfazed. They took control in the third set, winning 25-16, and sealed the match with a 25-22 clincher. Their dominance on the court was a reminder of why they held the championship title.

Meanwhile, Warrens delivered a nail-biting performance and edged Burger King Clapham Toners 22-25, 25-18, 25-22, 22-25, 15-11. The five-set marathon was filled with twists and turns. After losing the opening set 22-25, Warrens rallied to secure the second and third sets 25-18 and 25-22, respectively. Clapham Toners fought back valiantly in the fourth set, but Warrens dug deep in the deciding fifth set, emerging victorious with a 15-11 scoreline.
