Thursday, March 20, 2025 – Leaders WOW Foundation showcased their strength and determination in their quest for the division one volleyball crown. They triumphed over Chargers in a hard-fought four-set match, with scores reading 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Chargers leaned heavily on the experience and skills of Dale Addison, whose attacking and defensive prowess kept Foundation under relentless pressure. Despite the intensity of the game, Foundation delivered an impressive display of spiking and blocking power, although their journey to victory was marred by 11 serve errors, which offered Chargers glimmers of hope throughout the match.

Meanwhile, Starz Volleyball Club solidified their hold on the third spot in the standings with a hard-fought victory over Club United. Starz delivered a solid performance in the first two sets 25-18 and 25-16.

However, the third set turned into an epic battle as Club United, determined to avoid a straight-sets defeat, pushed the set to an astonishing 34-32. The nail-biting finish thrilled the crowd and showcased the grit of both teams, but Starz ultimately emerged victorious.

Wednesday, March 19, 2025 – In a commanding display at the Wildey Gymnasium, former queens KFC Deacons marched resolutely toward the Division One volleyball title. Facing Hill Road in a matchup, the Deacons proved unstoppable, sweeping their opponents aside with scores of 25-10, 25-19, and 25-23.

Meanwhile, the night also saw a dramatic clash between Warrens and Chargers. Third-placed Warrens, hoping to narrow the gap, found themselves locked in a fierce four-set battle. Chargers held their ground with grit and determination, edging Warrens out in a hard-fought victory: 24-26, 25-23, 20-25, 24-26.

Tuesday, March 18, 2025 – The Wildey Gymnasium came alive with volleyball action as the Division One league continued to heat up. Reigning champions, KFC Deacons, displayed their might with a straight-sets victory over newcomers Club United. With scores of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-19, the Deacons showcased their clinical precision and solidified their reputation as title favourites.

Meanwhile, in another highly anticipated match, former champions Chargers faltered against the underdog Ifill School Police in a nail-biting four-set encounter. Despite a commanding start with a 25-14 first-set win, the Chargers couldn’t maintain their composure. Ifill School Police, fueled by their tenacity and remarkable teamwork, edged out the Chargers in a thrilling sequence of sets, 26-24, 25-20, and 26-24.

Deacons Dominate as Warrens Show Grit

Monday, March 17, 2025 – Former queens KFC Deacons maintained their serious bid to clinch the division one volleyball league title when the action continued at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Leading the charge for Deacons was their dynamic duo, middle attacker Danielle Duncan and Barbados national player Dessani Waithe. Their synergy and relentless attacks proved too much for Chargers, as Deacons cruised to a convincing win with scores of 25-21, 25-19, and 25-18. With their eyes set firmly on reclaiming the league title, Deacons are sending a clear message: they mean business.

The evening also saw a thrilling showdown between Warrens and Hill Road. Warrens found themselves on the back foot early, dropping the opening set 22-25. However, they roared back to take the next three sets (25-15, 25-19, 25-15).
