Clapham Toners maintain lead

Burger King Clapham Toners continued on a path of winning the Goddard Enterprises Limited division one volleyball titles when round two of the league continued at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Toners battled from a set down and set point in the second set to stop Development Volleyball in Motion 22-25, 26-24, 25-8, 25-13. After taking the early challenges DVM could not match the power of Ashley Jordan and Ashley Marshall along with the experience of Janelle Chase-Mayers.

Theta Math Club Academy stunned Pan American Insurance Warrens in straight sets 25-20, 25-14, 25-16. The performances of Kiana Alleyne and Sheriann Norris gave Club their first win.

Toners in title chase

Burger King Clapham Toners kept in the hunt by defeating Chargers 25-12, 25-11, 25-12 when the Goddard Enterprises Limited division one volleyball first continued at the Wildey Gymnasium. Chargers had no answer to the aggressive attack of Ashley Marshall and Ashley Jordan.

Pan American Insurance Warrens recalled veterans Sophia Walcott and Talya Layne to edge Theta Math Academy Club United 25-13, 23-25, 14-25, 26-24, 15-11.

Carlton wins in straight sets

Phoenix Security Service Carlton pulled off their first straight sets win for the season when the Goddard Enterprises Limited volleyball action continued at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Carlton dismissed Pan American Insurance Warrens 25-15, 25-18, 25-19 thanks to the attacking efforts of Rhea Bryant and Tiara Johnson.

Toners win in five sets

Burger King Clapham Toners once again stuttered before Ashley Jordan’s allround performance helped them to a five sets win over Deacons 25-22, 23-25, 27-29, 25-21, 15-10, when the Goddard Enterprises Limited volleyball action continued at the Wildey Gymnasium.

DVM and Carlton victorious

Phoenix Security Services Carlton and Development Volleyball in Motion scored two big stunning upsets when the Goddard Enterprises Limited division one volleyball league continued at the Wildey Gymnasium.

DVM defeated Burger King Clapham Toners 25-21, 15-25, 25-17, 25-23 while Carlton edged Chargers 25-17, 18-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Carlton’s attacking plays from six footer Rhea Bryant and Tiara Johnson nullified Chargers’ Dei Padmore, Thonya Joseph, Samya Jones and Shaina Bradshaw.

Toners, DVM and Deacons victorious

Burger King Clapham Toners women finally turned up the heat on their grill to scorch Warrens 25-13, 25-12, 25-16 and moved into the second spot.

Development Volleyball in Motion Desanni Waithe and Kandia Shorey piloting the charge also exploited Club’s inconsistency to edge home 27-25, 22-25, 16-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Marissa Dowell made a mockery of her much taller opponents from Phoenix Security Services Carlton to defeat them 25-23, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18. Dowell received great support from south-paws Abeje Carrington and Taquilla Lawrence. Carlton’s setter Janelle Morris struggled to find a consistent attacker.
